Linked Family Services is hiring paid, grant-funded team members to support the Tiny Essentials Relief Hub. Our work centers dignity, access, and community-based prevention for families across Philadelphia.

Family Support Worker

  • 30 hours per week | Contract

  • In-Person | Philadelphia

  • Bilingual Preferred

The Family Support Worker provides direct, relationship-based support to families accessing the Tiny Essentials Relief Hub. This role focuses on in-person engagement, strengths-based conversations, and light-touch documentation during scheduled hub visits. The Family Support Worker helps ensure families feel welcomed, respected, and supported while accessing essential baby items and prevention-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage families during in-person Relief Hub visits

  • Support intake and exit assessments using strengths-based tools

  • Facilitate brief conversations focused on family stability, well-being, and support needs

  • Coordinate with Relief Hub Support Specialists during hub operations

  • Support distribution of diapers, wipes, and other essential items

  • Maintain accurate visit notes and participation documentation

  • Follow program protocols and confidentiality standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Public Health, Family Studies, Sociology, Education, or a related field

  • Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply, particularly those seeking hands-on experience in family support or community-based services

  • Experience (paid, volunteer, or academic) working with children, families, or communities preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Comfort working with families experiencing economic stress

  • Organized, dependable, and respectful

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred

Administrative Assistant

  • Part-Time | Contract 

  • In-Person (Philadelphia)

  • Bilingual Preferred

The Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of the Tiny Essentials Relief Hub by managing referrals, scheduling, documentation, and administrative coordination on-site. This role helps ensure smooth in-office operations, accurate recordkeeping, and timely communication with families and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage referral intake and enrollment tracking in-office

  • Schedule and confirm family appointments

  • Communicate with families regarding visit logistics and reminders

  • Upload assessments, forms, and documentation into internal systems

  • Maintain accurate participation and service records

  • Support data organization for reporting and compliance

  • Provide general administrative and front-desk support during hub hours

  • Assist with preparation of materials and forms for Relief Hub days

Qualifications

  • Experience in administrative support, office coordination, or data entry

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Comfortable using digital tools, including Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Drive, Jotform, databases, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams

  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred

  • Recent college graduates encouraged to apply, particularly in administrative, business, human services, or related fields

Relief Hub Operations Intern (Paid)

  • 10 hours per week | Paid Internship 

  • In-Person (Philadelphia)

  • Bilingual Preferred

The Relief Hub Operations Intern supports the day-to-day flow and operations of the Tiny Essentials Relief Hub during in-person service days. This role provides hands-on assistance with preparation, organization, and family flow to help ensure families experience a welcoming and efficient visit.

This is a non-clinical, support-focused internship designed for students or early-career individuals interested in community-based service, family support, or nonprofit operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of the Relief Hub space

  • Pack and prepare supply bags for families

  • Support organization and restocking of supplies

  • Assist with managing family flow during hub hours

  • Greet families and provide basic directional support as needed

  • Assist with preparation of materials and forms for hub days

  • Support general on-site operations under staff guidance

  • Follow program protocols, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications

  • Interest in community-based work, family support, or nonprofit operations

  • Reliable and comfortable working in an in-person setting

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and established procedures

  • Organized, respectful, and dependable

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred

  • Students and recent college graduates encouraged to apply, particularly in social work, human services, public health, education, or related fields

Community Communications Intern (Paid)

  • Up to 10 hours per week

  • Paid Internship

  • In-Person (Philadelphia)

The Community Communications Intern supports Linked Family Services’ outreach and storytelling by helping capture and share moments from the Tiny Essentials Relief Hub and special events. This role focuses on content creation, social media support, and newsletter preparation to help keep families, partners, and supporters informed and engaged.

This is a paid internship designed for students or early-career individuals interested in nonprofit communications, community engagement, or digital storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take photos and short videos during Relief Hub days and other special events

  • Assist with Instagram stories and basic content posting

  • Draft captions and short written content for review

  • Support preparation and distribution of monthly newsletters

  • Organize photos and content for internal use

  • Support community-centered and prevention-focused messaging

  • Follow branding, privacy, and consent guidelines

Qualifications

  • Interest in communications, marketing, media, nonprofit work, or storytelling

  • Comfortable using social media platforms (especially Instagram)

  • Basic familiarity with digital tools (Google Drive, Canva or similar tools)

  • Organized, creative, and able to meet light deadlines

  • Comfortable taking photos in community settings

  • Respectful of confidentiality and family privacy

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred

  • Students and recent college graduates encouraged to apply, particularly in communications, media studies, marketing, public relations, or related fields
