About Us
HISTORY
Linked Family Services began in 2018 as Hearts of Gold Mentoring PA, a grassroots program focused on mentoring and community support. In its early years, Hearts of Gold hosted empowerment socials for mothers, back-to-school drives, and other one-time events to meet immediate needs and encourage families.
As the vision expanded, the name Linked Family Services was adopted as a DBA in 2023 to reflect a broader mission centered on family engagement, maternal wellness, and community connection. In 2025, the organization formally changed its name to Linked Family Services.
While the name has evolved, our commitment remains the same: strengthening families, preventing crises, and creating healthier communities.

MISSION
At Linked Family Services (LFS), we are a prevention and intervention direct service agency dedicated to advancing birth equity, family well-being, and child welfare prevention. Our mission is driven by three core focus areas: Maternal Health & Wellness, Development-Centered Parenting & Family Support, and Resource Navigation & Care Coordination. Grounded in the ACEs framework, we strengthen protective factors, reduce risks, and ensure that every mother, child, and family—especially those in urban and low-income communities—has access to the care, tools, and support systems they need to thrive across generations.
VISION
We envision a future where every child is nurtured, every mother is supported, and every family—regardless of income or background—has equitable access to the care, education, and resources they need to thrive. In this future, maternal and paternal health disparities are eliminated, parenting is empowered, and early childhood development is embraced as a foundational pathway to lifelong opportunity.
Our work is grounded in prevention and family stability. We recognize the long-term impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and design our services to reduce the stressors that can lead to them—like caregiver mental health challenges, resource insecurity, and lack of support. Through our commitment to advocacy, education, and responsive support, Linked Family Services is building a healthier, more just, and more connected community—one family at a time.
