We work alongside parents and caregivers to strengthen protective factors, reduce stressors, and build healthier futures across generations.
At LFS, prevention is not just an idea—it’s a practice. Through our Tiny Essentials Relief Hub, we connect families with the resources and relationships that help them stay strong and supported. From providing essential goods to fostering parental confidence and community connections, we believe that when caregivers are equipped, children are protected, and communities are strengthened.
Our prevention work also centers on addressing the social determinants of health (SDOH) that shape family stability—ensuring every household has access to the essentials, opportunities, and support networks they need to thrive.

1. Maternal Health & Birth Equity
We work to eliminate disparities in maternal health, ensuring that every pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience is met with compassionate, culturally grounded care and support.
2. Child Welfare Prevention & Family Stability
We strengthen families and reduce the risk of child welfare involvement by addressing crises early, building supportive parent-caregiver relationships, and creating conditions for long-term stability.
3. Resource Navigation & Care Coordination
We connect families to essential resources, coordinate across systems, and remove barriers to care—helping parents and caregivers meet their basic needs, access supports, and focus on wellness.
